This is Point Panic on a 2-3 foot day. It breaks out far enough not to be make the rocks in the foreground a factor. There are two sets of stairs that allow easy entry and exit from the water at this easy to get to South Shore Spot near Honolulu's Kakaako Waterfront Park.
The waves break in about 5 - 10 foot deep water with a combination coral and sand bottom (smooth, no major wholes to fall in to). To the immediate left is the Kawalo Basin boat channel so this spot is know to be a bit sharky and sightings are not at all uncommon. Regulars are tolerant of newcommers but please show respect, especially to the local people who surf this spot every day and truly call it their home. Respect in the water is all it takes to ensure a super fun and memorable surf session here at Point Panic!
